My girlfriend and I seperate in two cities

My girl friend and I work in two different cities,there is quite a distance between our cities.So we can't meet or date often,and so we have to talk with each other by phone,this cost quite a lot of money.My girlfriend with come to work and live in my city in the coming year,but it is still early now.What can I do?And do you have the same problem as me?

I used to have the same problem. I lived about 1500km away from my fiance for nearly a year.
Talking on the phone is expensive, I looked for the best deal in phone companies, but we also used irc or msn for a lot of talking rather than calling. I know it is less personal, but it was also a lot less expensive and you can say a lot that way. If you then use the phone you can limit your conversations to what is truly important e.g. if I was describing what I did that day I think it was just as good to use electronic means rather than a phone.
