What do you think about Sellaband Artists ?

www.Sellaband.com is a great site with a very innovative style, that allow bands to partnership with believers in order to raise 50000 dollars, and where each believer contribute with a 10 dollar part, to produce an album with a major producer, and in an high quality studio. Almost one year after the start of the site, there are already six bands/projects that reached the goal, and are in the phase of production of their cd´s. So, what do you think about Sellaband Artists? Do they really rock?

Currently sellaband has over 4000 artists listed and yes I am a believer - I currently have investments in Maitreya, Mandyleigh Storm, Bullet Proof Messenger and Joes Boonen. Now to the question - do they really rock? Well as with beauty - one who "rocks" is in the eye of the beholder, and it all comes down to the applied use of the term "rock". The term "rock" in all its' forms can be applied in many ways - in common usage someone or something that is hot, good, exciting, etc - "rock" (as a positive): Examples: Bullet Proof Messenger really "rocked" at "London Calling" Dude I saw you out with that hot blonde Traci - dude you rock! I think any artist who is committed to their craft, works to improve their skills and makes the effort to promote themselves - Rock! So in this context - yeah the bands at Sellaband do rock!

I believe you have presented a great point of view, if the artists are commited, yes! they really rock! And in Sellaband.com , there are really a lot of talent and commited artists with their own craft!

I signed up to sellaband just last night and this lady http://www.sellaband.com/janeenleah/ was the reason why but I've now found so many more artists to back that I started to run out of funds!

I had never heard of this site before but will be taking a closer look at it now. It looks like a very interesting site for both the artists and the fans.

It is a great concept, and in my opinion, you´ll find great artists in there. Lot of great independent music! Today (here in Portugal is already 5 of June) it will happen a concert in London with five of the artists that already achieved their goal. It promises to be a great show!
