Well I was a bit confused because in the body of the article it said he was awaiting to hear from the baord but in the caption of the picture it said he had already gotten a honorable discharge. Is this is second term of enlistment or did they decide they were going to change his discharge after he was already out? It also said that he had a uniform on but it didnt have any rank or insignia. I dont know it sounds a bit confusing but from what I read from the story it sounds like he was already out and now they want to punish him for something that he did while he was in but he didnt really do because he wasnt really in uniform. I think I would need a bit more info to form a full opinion on it.

I think what the artical was saying was that the photo was taken after he recieved an horable discharged, so he was not an active duty marine when the photo was taken.. but they could go back and change his discharge to a general discharge, and if that the case I am pretty sure he will not recieve veterens benifuts

Ok I did a search and looked at some more info http://www.usatoday.com/news/world/iraq/2007-05-31-uniforms_N.htm If a war veteran doesnt have the right to speak than who does? Would love to know who is sitting on the board about this and what they have done. I also read there were others there who were supporting side of the protest in uniform but they have been overlooked, what a surprise a double standard. From this article it says there are two others in question. I knew that when you were disharged in any armed forces they can call you back for the remainder of the time which used to be a total of 8 years, 3-4 active, 7-6 inactive but I have never heard of anyone being punished for something they did by the military during that inactive time after being discharged. I dont see this about anything more than dirty politics, thats my opinion after reading more on the subject maybe someone can prove me wrong.

I am not sure what I think of this, but it would have been worse I think if he had his name and branch on his uniform, I think had the right to express his opinon but I don;t think he should of been in the uniform he was in. I do agree with the above post thou..
