It is quite safe with reputed companies. Never use it when unsolicited, companies of disrepute. Keep tab on card accounts now and then which can be viewed online.

Use credit card online only when it is inevitable. Also use credit card only when it is absolutely necessary.

I did years ago when I had a credit card.LOL I no longer have any credit cards and Im fine with that. I use it to buy airline ticketts on line for pretty cheap. I had no problem at all. But you should always be careful.

I have 3 credit cards, Visa, MC and Discover. I ONLY use Discover for all my online purchases. They have a special system for securing on line transactions. Each new purchase you make gets a different (bogus) credit card number which is linked to your actual(real) number. That way if anyone tried to use that number again it is invalid so they can never get to your real card number. Of course you can use your card as normal in stores. When you get your monthly statement each online purchase shows the bogus number it was paid under. Really a great idea.

I have used my card online several times- I look for the verisign signal- that usually means it is a safe website- I have never had any problems with any purchases online before.

I do and only use one credit card with a low limit. It is only for online and used only at sites with the lock on it and verisign etc. I only deal with sites I am familiar with. Also I keep records so that if something would go awry I could have some information to back me up and find resistution. Good luck with your dealings online.

I have used a credit card online to do a lot of different online purchasing. I usually use websites that have secure websites or with websites I trust. I also take extra caution to make sure that any questionable sites aren't ordered from. You definitely want to watch out for unsecure sites and people looking to scam you. A lot of times, especially with the new IE, they display the lock icon somewhere on the browser, either on the bottom or in the address bar. that will signify that the site is secure. You can also do a little internet research to make sure certain sites you wanna use are secure.

I have used several different credit cards online and have never had any trouble with them being processed or having my information leaked. If you want to use an individual credit card for online purchases, check out the virtual credit cards that you can get from reward programs like Freeride and MyPoints. I have a Virtual Visa and a card through WebCertificate. They get funded when I cash out my points and are nice to have when I want to buy something in the $50.00 - $75.00 range but my credit cards are maxed. They are just like regular debit cards meaning you have to have funds available to be able to charge things on them.

yes i have used my creditcard to fund my account in stormpay so that i can upgrade my account in autosurf site. It was pretty much easy but i got really scared when doing the transaction luckily it all went smooth because the online site i have joined is a legitimate one. But i have know of credit card fraud very rampant here in the net so you better watch out..make sure that before making the transaction the site is secured from hackers and thieves. I avoid using my cards on the net...in order not to become a sorry victim.

Sure I have. I think you need to first make sure that you are dealing with a reputable company. Then make sure the address bar shows https instead of just http. Then it should be fine.

I use mine to pay bills. I make sure they have that padlock icon on the bottom corner. Some have a privacy or security thing on their website. I haven't had any problems yet *knock on wood*
