What is wrong with rude people?

There are so many people here on this site that start a discussion and ask for everyone's opinion. And then when you do, they attack you because your opinion is different than theirs! I firmly believe to initially give everyone respect. However, some people don't give respect back. Do you want respect? Well then, you have to GIVE respect otherwise you're not going to get it in return.
Everyone is different. No one thinks exactly the same. Why can't we simply respect each others differences? It would be a much better place to live in, if we simply respected each other. Please realize that some people will disagree. It's not necessarily a bad thing. Why can't we state our opinions respectfully without attacking others for thinking differently?
Is that so hard to do? I always go by this saying: "Treat others the way you want to be treated". However, if you attack me because of my difference of opinion, rest assure that I WILL defend myself.
Does anyone around here also have this same problem? Please give your opinions and comments whatever they may be. Thanks.

There will always be those who ask the question but then can't handle the answer they get!!! They just might not be open to the fact that yes we are all different in how we think about things!!! I just take it like this - to each his own!!!! Just my 2 cents!!!

I usually welcome people's comments and respect that they have their right to their own opinion. If they attack, well, in the words of Jon Bon Jovi (in his song HAVE A NICE DAY), "when people get in my face, I say, Have A Nice Day!
