Have you ever sold anything on Ebay?

I have recently placed my first product on Ebay.
It is a wholesale lot of 48 swimsuits for $45.
It has only a little over a day left, but I have no bids, although I have 2 watchers.
I hope my product sells.
If you have also sold on Ebay, when did you get bids? Did you get them right away or towards the end of the auction?
Do you think these watchers will buy the product? Why else would they be watching the item?
Tell me your thoughts on this.

I was a powerseller last year. I don't have as much time to do ebay this year because I own a company that keeps me very busy.
If it were me I would have listed the bathing suits for 99 cents. You would pay less in listing fees and your bids would probably be over $45 at this point with lots of watchers.

I have sold a few things on ebay and have had really good success at it.
Some good tips are to start with a very low bid and either set a reserve price (a minimum the bid has to reach before you will sell it)or forgo the reserve and just take your chances.
I would recommend the later for anything you're not wanting $50 or more out of. When people see a 48 swimsuits for 99 cents they bid on it and will continue to bid as the market drives itself to a fair price.
Always set the auction for at least 7 days. It is also a good idea to have the auction end friday or saturday night. That is when the most people will be online looking to make purchases from ebay. Things usually sell for more on the weekends.
The most bids usually come at the end, as people try to snipe in and grab the item for the lowest price possible so all is not lost.

Alot of times watchers will wait till the last few minutes to bid. Some people say start all your auctions out at .99 which makes since it is cheaper to list. But I have always been scared to do that cause I guess I am kind of attached to the clothes they were all of my kids clothes. I just love clothes and the thought of someone buying them for .99 doesn't appeal to me, cause I could get more than that at a yard sale. I am just always afraid that if I list for .99 they will sell for .99

i have been selling things on ebay on and off for the past 2 years. some things sell, others don't. i only sell stuff when i am having a clear out at home. i find the best things to sell are childrens toys and shoes (from personal experience). some things that don't sell first time around i relist and hey presto they always seem to go. i sell just for the fun off it - hang in there.

I have been both a buyer and a seller on eBay. You can never underestimate the importance of a good photograph and it might be a good plan to take photographs of your own rather than rely on library or manufacturers pictures.

I've been selling on ebay for years. If your just starting you should know that summers are usually very slow. Selling in lots is great but if it's all the same thing and as many as 48 your probably only going to get bids from other sellers. Normally the bids don't start coming in until the weekend, lots of watchers don't even place a bid. They watch to see if anyone else bids and if they really want the item they will bid at the last minute to get the lowest price. I hope this helps. Good luck!

I buy on Ebay all the time and just looking at your feedback I wouldnt buy from you. Most of the time people will look at the feedback to determine if they are going to risk a online purchase. Also the deal l0oks too good to be true. But because you accept Pay Pal that might be your biggest selling feature. At least in my opinion. You need to get your feedback up so it doesnt look so bad.I have sold on ebay too and a lot of times people will snipe which may be how yours will sell. Wholesale deals are for wholesale buyers . What the people have already mentioned about the pictures is true too.

May or may not. I just look at new gadgets in ebay and my name comes in the sellers watch list. That doesnot mean they will buy. But any way i wish good luck

I do some selling on ebay. If you have watchers you are likely to sell the items. People like to wait until the end sometimes to ever place their bid.
It really all depends on a lot things with ebay. I can sell the same item one week later for $45 more and 12 more bidders, you just never really know. That is the excitement of it all, I guess.

I have never sold anything or listed anything on ebay, but I would like to look into it. I have read some good advice in this discussion. I hope that you do sell your product, good luck.

I sell mostly novels or computer parts on Ebay. Normally, I don't see any bids for the first few days. It depends on your detailed description of your product, photo taken and also the price. Buyers really look for real cheap products on Ebay.
Good Luck to you.
