Most smokers experience a range of unpleasant withdrawal symptoms when trying to quit. In short term (within 24 hours), these include depressed mood, difficulty in sleeping, irritability and anger, anxiety, restlessness, decreased heart rate, dizziness and increased appetite. Giving up smoking increases the chances of living a longer and healthier life. Smokers who quit before the age of 45 have a life expectancy close to that of people who have never smoked.

Hi there, I gave up smoking a week ago today and I feel preety good, the only annoying side effect that I have that bothers me is that I'm waking at 5am when my alarm is set for 7.30am. Although I have to say I'm not suffering tiredness but I just enjoy my sleep. I do have more energy than I did 2 weeks ago tho! :0)

I have been smoke free for 7 glorious years and apart from a bit of depression and a little irritability at first I have never looked back. I just tried not to think about it and kept myself busy. Now I breathe better and my lungs feel better and overall I just feel better. Cold Turkey is the only way to go.

Seven out of 10 smokers say they want to quit. But only 2-3 per cent succeed in the long term. Congrats for quitting. May you live a healthier life.

iv quit smoking because it is bad for my health. something happened to me before i realized that its not good to me esp. to my health., besides i wanna live more and share my life with others and my family. i love my family so i wont smoke anymore. quit smoking before its too late. its never too late to change. start from small until you completely quit. its a step by step process that you should take.
