Do you exercise regularly?

I try to walk at least three to five miles, five to six times a week. I find that it helps me think more clearly and sleep better. I also like the feeling of accomplishment. What if any, type of exercise do you do regularly?

Good for you for walking regularly. Exercise is a good part of my job. I'm a Personal trainer and sports nutritionist. I have to be a good example, of course, Besides that, I love to exercise. I don't know what my life would be without it. I make sure to get in all 3 of the critical elements: cardiovascular, strength, and flexibility training. Makes me feel fantastic. WOW! Lucky you! I dont have the time to spare. THATS alot of walking!!!! In the summer I do walk my kids about 1/2 mile away to their grammas and back home to go to bed. SO thats about 1 mile , 5 days a week. I dance alot too, with the kids in the afternoons. But besides that nothin...YIKES! I was trying to fit in exersizing on demand (tv) and I was doing about an hour a day but it got to be wasting too much of my afternoons. The kids were doing it as well. Maby I will go back to doing that!

I make time for myself. I don't walk it all at once l do a few miles in the morning and then again after dinner. I don't consider it a waste of time because it is something l do for ME.:-)

Well done! :-) Every day I try to power-walk for about ½ hour - that's about 3 miles I guess, but there are some who still seem to walk faster than me LOL. I go to the gym twice a week for a good work-out. 4000 meters on the rowing machine in about 20 minutes, 20 minutes on the cross-trainer, 10 minutes on the exercise bike, about 15 minutes pumping iron and a final cool-down of about 10 minutes. I don't think I've ever been healthier in my life. I have been told that it's best that I do this and have stuck to it religiously since I came out of hospital last year. I never feel like going to the gym, but feel much better for it afterwards :-)

If you develop active healthy lifestyle, eat the well balanced diet, avoid junk food and soft drinks, drink lots of water, play outdoor sports like tennis, dance and do aerobics, go for long walks, do house hold chores like sweeping the floor and have a positive attitude and you goal is to be healthy then you will be abler to lose weight but don't put too much pressure on yourself thinking of losing weight then it becomes a burden and you will lose interest in it. Its just sometimes you cant help but feel pressurized. We all want results fast. But Ill try to inculcate a routine to help me do this.
