This is always being asked. For paid version, Kaspersky and Symantec are among the best antivirus. Both the two does its jobs pretty well. It detects and scans your machine thoroughly. Now, for free version, you can try AVG, AVIRA, and AVAST. At this point of time, I am using Avira AntiVir Personal Classic Edition. I am very much satisfied since using this one. It updates regularly and can be scheduled at your most convenient time. It does its jobs pretty well, too. It is very light on resources, hence does not slow down your computer. It deletes and detects rootkits, worms, viruses, etc.
Hope this would help.
Have a nice day!

i think avg is best antivirus among them bacuse it's automatically check for updates and scan computers.By the time of scanning we can do other works..........but in case of others we have to wate till scans completes............by using avg we can do multiple works in the time of scanning........this a very light software which takes low disk space and it can be downloade for free in the website www.grisoft.com.............................
thank you............................

the best for me are nod32 and kaspersky. i used both and they are very very good. norton is over rated just like mcafee and i think avg is better than both norton and mcafee since you can have it for free.
both nod32 and kaspersky uses less resources than any other antivirus software. they are both very fast in scanning and their detection rate is very high compared to others.

I am currently running McAfee and have no complaints about it. But my dad keeps telling me to switch to Norton. He said he used to have McAfee about 10 years ago and switched. He says Norton is better than McAfee. Why I haven't switched yet I don't know. I trust my dads opinion because he is a computer techinican. So thats what he does for a living, fixing computers. So he probably knows best.

I believe Norton is the best. It is updated automatically to fight new viruses. It detects a wide range of worms too.

i think F-Secure is the best antivirus software among the Mcafee and Norton and Nod32. Since i am using it it will update the versions automatically when we were online and it stops the virus to come into your computer.
