I usually use my handy vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment to clear keyboard debris. Yesterday, some coffee spilled over the keyboard while I was working and it was first time happened. Though I had no idea to clean liquid stuff I only managed to turn it upside down and wipe with a cloth. I feared to do more. Now it has stains of coffee. Was it the right way of cleaning or do you suggest something else? I am worry for that stain and even unplug the keyboard from PC and manage my work with Window virtual keyboard.

As inefficient as this sounds, I flip over my keyboard and shake it around. Then I trash the debris (i.e. crumbs and other such things) that fall out. As for the keys themselves, I just use a wet q-tip. It's definitely not the most thorough method of cleaning the keyboard, but it's good enough for me.
