What is up with everyone today?

Everyday I drive to work and then drive home again. Sometimes I will stop off at the store. What i am wondering is this...what has happened to society today that makes everyone so rude????? I can be in a really good mood and say hello to someone, only to have them bite my head off with a comeback like, like "Why are you talking to me? I don't know you!" or a dirty look, or some snide remark. It can really be disheartening at times. What do you think has happened that causes us to rush rush rush, going about with only our purpose in mind and no regard for anyone else? Has society become so jaded that kindness toward our fellowman is no longer a duty, but only an option that we can choose to be or not to be? What do you see has changed that makes us that way and how can we change it? do you believe that one person can make a difference???

Crooks have always resorted to being temporarily nice and even kind to their prospective preys before conning them (a method that have, sadly, ensured their sucesses). There is just too much evil around today, and people are simply attempting to be on the alert or be defensive by pretending to be rude. However, if saying "hello" or "how do you do" to people you pass by is your thing, then do not stop simply because some people may not be reciprocating. You still may have secretly made their day! Good day!

Oh, I don't let things like that stop me from being nice or respectful, but it does get very frustrating when you are extending a hand of friendship and someone is biting it! I know cons work that way and I have been taken a few times myself, but....and I don't want to come across as preaching, Jesus said...If they are hungry, feed them, if they are thirsty, give them drink, if they are cold the give them warmth, for so much as you have done unto them, you have also done unto me. How many times have you turned away someone, then late thought..."Could that have been an angel or Jesus Himself?" I have, and I don't want to be guilty of turning Him away. God Bless!

Very true that some of us have missed some good opportunities by trying to be careful. Well, due to the sad events and seeing we are just humans, it is often smart to always let good logic overrule: It is much better to be safe than to be sorry.
