I've been to Thailand several times in my lifetime. The weather is very hot, the sky in Bangkok is covered with pollution, and the foods from the markets are usually not clean. It's also crowded and a poor economy. After all of this, I still love Thailand! Is this the case for anyone else?

I totally agree with you! And I have a few points to add too. South of Thailand (Pattaya, Krabi) are among some of the most beautiful places in the world! The beaches are mind-blowing and the people are so hospitable. The food is fantastic too, I just fell in love with it. I eat mainly vegetarian and sea food, both of which were available in most places. Thai food tastes so healthy, and no matter how much you eat, you just don't feel sick! It is one place from which we never felt like returning. Bangkok is not one of my favourite places in Thailand though. I feel that people who judge thailand based on Bangkok and Pattaya, are judging on completely the wrong premises!

i have the possibility to go to Thailand by August for few months or year if possible. ive researched a lot about the place for it would be my first time to go out the country..for this month yes its very hot in there, and by august Bangkok will be very crowded, so maybe will go to Changmai or somewhere in northern part. Have you been there? And since youve been to Thailand do you have any ideas regarding visa run? Since my companion and i will avail the visa upon arrival and will do a visa run after the 30 days expiration..anyone who can help me bout this matter and can recommend a nice place in thailand, thanks in advance...

Hi captainjen! Well some of my family lives in Thailand and they have been to Changmai and I've been all over Thailand except only to visit the temples there. Anyways, I can't tell you anything about visa run, I'm sorry. But advice I can give you is be safe and make sure to keep guard even if it seems safe, bargain, and if you can travel with someone else! Otherwise, have fun!

Yes all that you said about Bangkok is 100% truth but still people go there not just for business purpose but also for joy and many of them are not fornicators/aduterous but many of them are righteous i know that because my dad having business there since 16 years so i have lived many times in Bangkok and seen many changes there too ........but now i think Bangkok have lost its charm because of the currency difference and political turbulence in Thailand ...............

Not at all. I am in love with Thailand. I really wish I could move there with my husband and son! The food from the markets are great and I never got sick from buying food from the street. It's usually the best! The weather is hot, but it's bearable. Most people don't hang outside when the weather is like that...they find other things to do. That's why the night markets are so popular!! It's not too crowded. What areas where you in? I lived in Chiang Rai for a few months and found it to be just perfect! It wasn't overrun by Westerners and it still had a Thai culture. I have yet to find a people that are more generous and loving than the Thai. They are amazing!
