Thanks Steph. I have a feeling that my discussion was reported because of what it was about. It's the first time it's happened, and as I said, it's not the fact it got deleted that bugs me. It's the fact that some people feel it's better to report something that goes against their beliefs and thoughts, as opposed to hitting the little button in the top right hand corner that says "close" lol. Oh well.

Thats what I feel gabs. Those do gooders really have no concept of what it took for me to write that discussion. By reporting it they totally disregarded the fact that it took me 2 hours and a lot of tears to complete it. Oh well, many people saw it before it was deleted, thats what counts.

Lol @ the troll. Tricky lil things ain't they! :p I don't know whats going on with Mylot recently at ALL. They've been far too trigger happy when it comes to deleting discussions. Oh well. I'm not going to stop posting LOL.

At times like this, people have no right to judge each other. Yours was a serious and traumatic situation. Don't mind the others. You can still hold up your head well.

Seriously though, I'm glad that my discussion was at least left long enough for a decent number people to respond to it. I hope it reached someone who may have needed to read something like that in order to help them make their decision. It's just sad when other people think that it wasn't worth leaving.

Censorship indeed pyewacket. I totally agree. I've seen other discussions written AFTER mine about abortion, and guess what? They're still there! Unlike some other people, I don't report them, because I accept that they're entitled to their opinion. So long as they don't try to tell me that their belief is right and that mine is wrong, I have no beefs with them. I guess some others don't feel that way LOL.

The discussion was started by me. I was raped when I was 15 and had an abortion when I found out I was pregnant. I started a discussion called Abortion From The Other Side. It told my story and how I handled things, and I stated that I did not like those people who told me that my decision was wrong, because they happened to think that it was wrong. I got a whole whack of responses from people who supported me, and appreciated the fact that I had the courage to tell my story. There were a few people who disagreed, and I'd bet my last dollar that it was one of those who reported it. Anyone can report a discussion. Mylot just recently have been trigger happy when it comes to deleting discussions, and I'd also be willing to bet that they didn't read the discussion before they deleted it.

I am wondering if any discussion can be deleted. Just because someone reports it does it mean it gets deleted; that is ridiculous. Someone should report something totally ridiculous and see what happens. Tell me really can a discussion be deleted because someone disagrees with it. To me that is not the right reason to delete. It should only be if it is abusive to others and maybe giving ideas on how to hurt someone something like that. Seems wrong to delete these discussions other wise! If myLot is going to promote this site with videos and contest then I think they have to step up the the plate and run a tighter and respectable ship here. Well I didn't see the discussion either so maybe I have no room to talk here. Was it a discussion or was the writer giving there opinion on whether a young person should have an abortion or not. I think you can tell your story but you must tell it without saying what someone else should do! It is easy to do that by just stating in there;'this is my story, this is how I handled it', everyone must make their own decision based on the knowledge and the convictions that they have. Then no one can accuse the writer's of anything!

I've been lucky up till now too lol. I've had my numbers go down when I've responded to discussions that ended up being deleted, but up till now I've not had any of my discussions deleted. There's a first time for everything I guess. It's just the thought that someone disregarded the fact that the discussion was personal for me and took a lot of effort, and reported it because they disagreed with what I said. Oh well. What goes around comes around as the saying goes :o)

I agree Marlyse. Real concerns are taboo these days it seems. However, rest assured I'm not going to stop posting. The trolls can knock me down, but they sure as hell aren't going to KEEP me down! Lol.

Me too Liranlgo. Like I stated above, I guess some people out there felt that their opinion mattered more than letting others have an opinion too. Just because we have different opinions doesn't mean that some of us should be censored for it.

i never did bother to find out if they did. since you asked, i imagine that they would since deletion of a post is usually done when the mylot guidelines are not followed thus they won't pay you for that. anyone can confirm if they take back the precious 1cts?
