How often do you check the new discussions?

I can't claim credit for originality on this one as I got the idea from one of my friends here.
The more I read and participate here the bolder I get in asking people to be my friend. Thankfully many have accepted my invitation and the others I'm assuming that they haven't been on in a few days.
Which brings me to my question. And I ask because I've been so busy reading and responding to discussions started by those on my friends list that I haven't had time to check the other new discussions.
So how about you, have you been checking the new discussions posted by people who are not on your friends list?

I usually answer my friends discussions first, then look in the discussions from my interests, after that *then* I start checking the new discussions.
Feel free to ask questions and don't be shy about participating! :)

this is the same with me here. i always tackle first those discussions which are coming from my friends. i find them mostly of great interest to me. if all those discussions from my friends have eaten up all of the time that i can spare to spend at the computer, then i can no longer take a peek at those new discussions poured in by ones not in my friends list. although i have been trying to drop by the no responses list everyday, at times, the discussions coming from my online frineds are really plentiful.

I also do find the discussions very interesting and also sometimes informative. I try to view the discussions everyday because I really enjoy answering their questions.

I always pick up the discussion with no responses first. Later I go to my friend's disucussions.

I don't have to since all my friends are set to Notify On. My Mylot folder is always almost with plenty of discussions for me to answer. When I have to troll for discussions when the glitches cause the notification to not work then yes I bump among that and 0 resonse ones and friends ones. That is also how to use this system to make the most.

When I first joined, I used to check the hot topics, but they get so many responses sometimes that what I have to say is usually already covered.
Then I used to read the relationship topics because there are always some really good discussions going on there. I then tried the discussions without responses.
Then finally I hit the make extra money discussions because...well, I need to make some extra money.
So here I am.

I do enjoy the discussions that are posted by the mylot family. And also I do enjoy answering the questions that are asked by different persons.

i am mostly making responses on those in my friends list, too. at most times, there are even so much more than i can handle and so, i can no longer get into the new discussions list anymore.
i have made it a habit though to pass by the no responses list before signing out. i try my best to do at least 5 in a day. there are days though that i really have no more time to spare at all. this is what happens to us once that friends list gets really long and plenty.
maybe, it is really a good thing to be going. i have found that the most interesting discussions for me are those coming from my online friends anyway.

That is so true. I get so involved in checking my friends discussions I sometimes forget to even check the discussions that I've started. :-)
I know what you mean about friends list being long. And I apologize right here and right now to all my friends who may be reading this if I have not gotten around to contributing to one of your discussions.

I check discussions w/ no response and/or new user discussions first and often. On rare occasion I will answer something on the top discussions page.
I don't really do new discussions though, unless there is nothing else to reply too.
Overall, I stick with friends discussions and most important b/c I like to support new ppl and/or any discussion w/ no response, I make sure to do the no response and new user, then my friends...
