Miserable people

Most (not all) people who are miserable seem to try to make others just as or more miserable. Why is this? Do they think that by making someone else's life miserable they can be happier? Does it make them feel better about themselves? What is your opinion on this?

Misery loves company. They get up in the morning and say "I hate myself so I hate everyone else". that's all I can think of. They aren't happy so no one else should be. Go figure!

It really makes no sense whatsoever to me. Do you think they actually say to themselves, well I'm not happy today so I'm goning ot make at least one person be as miserable as I am?

not really but they are not happy so they don't want others to be. I know someone like this.....yikes. She even throws temper tantrums and actually throws things. I asked her one day what the pay off was for acting like a two year old. She just went off in a huff!

I think by all means some people are genuinely happier if they are making those around them miseable. If everyone is just as upset as they are then they feel they are in good company. Maybe it relieves some of their angst. I don't know.

Misery certainly does love company and also miserable ppl know they are slowly but surely goin down in flames and be damned if theyre gonna go alone..they'll take whoever they can down with them IMO.....Its sad that ppl have to live like that or rather feel the need to attack and abuse others so they arent alone in their world of hate....When I'm having an episode I dont talk to anyone..partly becuase I need to be able to sort things out on my own without outside influence but also because I dont want others to worry about me or have their mood shift because of my mood ya know.....

I think some people will feel better when someone is more miserable than him, or they feel they are not that bad yet. Or they wish someone can share their misery, then it'll lighten theirs. Or just because they are miserable, they don't wish others to be happy. There are people like this.

Have you ever heard the saying "misery loves company" and with some people I think that this saying applies. I think that unless someone else has the same kind of misery or worse than they are just not satisfied. It is sad but there are people like that. I have met a few over the years and there is nothing you can do to make them happy.
