Do you still switch on the car signals for changing lanes or turning left/right?

Just about the only time I don't use my turn signal is when I'm in a turn only lane. A lot of the time I'll put it on then too. My husband and I get aggravated with people who don't use them and jokingly say they must not come on whatever model their car is. I think it makes driving a lot safer. However, it irks us to see people who leave their signals on forever, not realizing that they are on.

I got one incident with a biker who had his hazard lights on while he was riding..I overtook him as he was moving kind of slow as well because I assumed he had some problems with his bike.....he tailed me back to my home and reprimanded me for overtaking his bike..when I pointed to him that he got his hazards lights on..he didn't even apologize...he answered nonchalantly "I forgot"...

Always. I always use my turn signals for changing lanes and when I am turning. Especially in front of my house. There have been many times when my signal has been ignored (because I live on the left) and I've almost been hit because I also live right in front of a passing zone. So, folks will ignore my signal and almost nail me as I am just trying to turn into my driveway.

Oh yeah, my husband and I will always joke about people who don't use their turn signal and say, "that must be the new invisible signal!"

Yes, I do still signal. I have driven in professional capacities too often not to. I would never risk being ticketed, or causing an accident for such a simple thing. On the other hand, I do not waste my time and my energy feeling annoyed at other people. Their bad habits will catch up to them, and being annoyed is not good for me or for my well being. Whatever you do, I hope you drive safely. I want to welcome you to myLot, as you seem to be a pretty new user.

I am very careful to indicate before turning after watching a horrid accident a year back which killed three people. The guy didnt indicate and two cars got confuse I was sitting a bit back and managed to slow down but the other two cars were not so luck. I was a witness and it was horrible to have to tell the wife her husband was in the wrong. Now I indicate with plenty of time.

Yes, I do. I always give signal when changing lanes or making a right/left turn. For me, it is important to alert other drivers. I don't understand why some drivers just simply make a turn or changing lane without giving signal. It seems like they think that you can read their minds and what they are going to do next. But when accident happens, they will blame you for tailing then too near. It is so amazing attitude that I can't accept at all. You don't have to pay for giving signal!
