LOL! Hostas are amazingly hardy. They survive and thrive even when other plants don't. I actually planted one in a pot on my porch last year. When winter came it stayed out there. This spring it sprouted back. I was very surprised. I have a beautiful thriving hosta in a pot. Now roses have to be replaced every year in pots, as do every other plant I've ever tried but Hostas are amazing!

I know that the frost wouldn't kill them, but they are looking so good this year I couldn't take the chance that the frost would leave them looking horrible for the rest of the season. They probably would have been fine, I didn't cover hubby's tomatoes and they are still alright.
But I couldn't take the chance with my beautiful Hostas. lol.

No, I think we are finally safe from freezes, for about four months or so. We had snow in April, and 80 degree weather in May. Yes, if my plants were all out, or I had some tender ones, I would have had blankets, sheets and table cloths all over. My neighbors do not worry. In fact, people do not really seem to have time to think about their neighbors one way or another any more, and that is too bad. I can remember one fall picking every chrysanthemum that was in bloom, I was just a little kid. That was one time I had all of the bouquets a child's heart could want.
