You are always a student of photography as there is always something to learn. I worked as a portrait photographer in the 1980's, but it drove me nuts. I am now into digital and I prefer architectural & landscapes. I have done some "glamour" photography but that was only for certain eyes to see.

Cool! ARchitecture? Really? I am now working on a series shooting places listed with the National Register of Historic Places in large format black and white! I have about 9 ok prints thus far (you know how we're our own worst critics!), but yeah, that's where I'm going.
I've finished my classes but I owe a wee bit to an older school to have my credits transferred, but with photography, that's just a minor glitch. It's not like a business degree or something where you have to really, really, have it.
So, have you had many shows? Have a link where I can view some of your work?
I just got one...

I'd be exstatic if you signed my guestbook! I'm so excited I found a photographer friend on here! (a real one, not just a "digi-cam" expert!)

People keep telling me I should do a show, but I generally do it for personal pleasure. Years back I did mass portraits as a travelling photographer. Mainly in the North-East of the US, and mainly in stores like Woolworths. They would get a bunch of pictures for $9.99... That killed my love of photography for a while, but now I am back into my photography, but I don't like taking pictures of people. I have some photos to my page in myLot. The duck I use as my picture is a wild one that came by my house.
One thought, make sure you always enjoy what you are doing. When I first started to not like mass portrait, I should of stopped.

We're on the same page then. I don't care to take portraits either. Not unless they are just for me and my memories, portraits of people I admire or love. Even in that case, I like to shoot when they're not aware. There's nothing more annoying to me than a posed portrait. So unnatural.
Architecture and landscapes are a couple of my faves too. You ever looked at Flickr.com? It's a great photo community.
Oh, I also like doing abstract-type work.

Ooo, exciting! May I ask which program? The New York one? Perhaps with BetterPhoto? You wouldn't normally think online courses in photography would do justice to the craft, but I have seen some EXCELLENT work from such students. Congratulations and kudos for your committment!
