how to cope up with a Break Up!!!

one of my friends recently broke up with a girl he really loved n cared about,perhaps it was a misunderstanding or something but they are really apart now,with no hopes of reunion.. my friend is really shattered and can hardly stop from crying like a child.. any suggestions how to get over it... i would be really thankful from my friends side.

well dude i think as a good friend ....you must go to him and realize that this is a part of girlfriend and a boyfriend life......ya i know it hurts in the very first one but after you get use to it .......it all again fixx backs.....i mean mee too have 5 broken relationships and here i am just fine ....but in the first one i seriously got some heart injury.....
