After a day of being on the computer all day, I find that my neck and head hurt also. I have tried finding a more comfortable chai, but that didn't work either. I think that we should not sit at the desk for all those hours without trying some sort of neck exercises or moving away from it for a few minutes every hour. Here are some exercises that you can do from the comfort of your chair and or desk. 1. Start by looking straight ahead. Slowly lean your head to the left. Hold for five seconds, then return to starting position. Then, slowly lean your head to the other side. Hold for five seconds. Return to starting position. Do ten repetitions. This is a good exercise to do during work, especially if you have to keep your head in a steady position for extended periods, as in working at a computer. Do this exercise every half hour to prevent neck strain. 2.Start by looking straight ahead. Slowly raise both shoulders up. Hold for five seconds, then return to starting position. Do ten repetitions. This is a good exercise to do during work, especially if you have to keep your head in a steady position for extended periods, as in working at a computer. Do this exercise every half hour to prevent neck strain. 3.Start by looking straight ahead. Slowly lower your chin toward your chest. Hold for five seconds, then return to starting position. Do ten repetitions. These all came from a website designed to help with the neck pain cause by looking at a computer screen all the time.

Step one- Find someone with strong hands. Step two- Step away from the PC Step three- Direct the strong hands to give you real good massages to your lower back, shoulder blades and back. I'd offer if you weren't several thousand miles away....

You should have your neck checked out by a doctor, if you are having nerve pain, you could have a rupyured disk in your neck. I had this problem about 24 years ago, the pain sarted going down my arm.I had to have surgury on my neck. It is not good to be on the computor this long at on time. You should excercise your neck.
