Honestly, i think the smallest things always work - i got a stain out of my partners t-shirt that had been there for a few years, just by taking the top in to the shower with me & i scrubbed it by hand with some normal soap! I have also found that if i soak clothes in hot water with a little bit of shampoo, disolved in there, that always does the trick as well. I have never had a dark chocolate stain but the t-shirt stain was fish guts & even his mother couldn't get it out - me being 16 or 17 & clueless got it out without knowing what i was doing - LOL! Try some little things first before you go all out buying fancy stain removers but NapiSan is a GREAT stain remover if you have to buy one!

As crazy as it sounds Scrubbing Bubbles will get out most laundry stains, it works great on carpet also.

I swear by oxi-clean. It gets a lot of stains out. I have used it to get blood and other hard stains out of my clothing and you can just add it to the wash. I once got chocolate out of paper with oxi-clean. Someone got chocolate on my masters dissertation after it was signed. I couldn't print out a new one because part of my committee had left so it couldn't be resigned and I was under a deadline. So I used oxi-clean to get the chocolate out of the paper.

Someone asked this question not to long ago and the best responce that I saw her get was to add baking soda to the laundry at the same time you add your soap. She came back on and said that it really worked. may be you can try it to.
