Does anyone out there not plan to have children?

I'm happily married for a year now and my husband and I are in our early thirties. My husband wants children. I don't. Before anyone says anything, I'm not selfish...I actually do child advocacy work. I love children. I'm just am not sure I could handle being a mother. I ahve a disability and I fear it will be passed on. I don't want my child to suffer as I did. My parents didn't know that I could get it, so I don't blame them. I fear if I had a child and he or she got my disability, they would blame me. Also, due to this "handicap" I cna't get insureance anywhere unless I pay double. I have to take a medicine that costs hundreds a month just to keep me alive. I've been told it takes sacrifice. With what? We don't have anything to sacrifice. Our money goes to rent and medical bills. I use the internet for working at home. My one luxury is cable. That's it. I fear we don't make enough and never will. Plus, my husband works day and night at his job...he's a workaholic. So am I. I have up to 6 jobs at home. We have to work this way just to be able to make a decent ends meet and have money leftowver in the bank every month. I'm afraid no mmatter how much we'd like to, children may never be in the cards for us.
