Hi friends! I have been so curious about the difference between Monitor and televion. I don't know about manufacturing any of the two, but if you can help me about this I will be glad. What do you think is the major difference between a Computer monitor and a television. Thanks for your response in advance.

a monitor is just a tube or an LCD panel that will display a video feed nothing more. Some monitors don't even have sound. A television is a monitor that has the additional electronics to take a broadcast signel and convert it into the right feed for a monitor, that is normally the largest part of the television.

hi,
did u mean CRT monitor?
if yes, here is the summary.
if u follow the history, CRT monitor was made from television tube. Basically, both of them are the same, except
a. television got TV Tuner to display pictures, CRT monitor take it from Video Card
b. television got it own speaker, most CRT monitor doesnt have sound ability. if it does, it need sound processor like sound card.
mmm...
that's all i know.
hopefully will help.

It is too complicated a question for me to answer, because I am not a scholar on this subject. However from my general knowledge I think that a Television has a built in processor to process the signals received by it, whereas in a computer the preocessor is seperate. A computer monitor is just a display unit.
Let us hope some learned people will come forward with more authentic information.
Thank you the future.
