Have you ever in your life tried hitch hiking?
Guess I was a bad teenager I took off once and hitch hiked from Ontario to BC Yes i was looped but it sounded like fun at the time LOL
Would you pick up hitch hikers? Have you ever done that Pick them up that is
Do you decide before hand to pick them up or see what they look like first?
I have picked a few in my day.

i have never hitch hiked before...just the thought of it scares me. i dont usually trust people just like that and definitely not going to ride in a car with somebody i never met and might not meet again. in PI, there aren't many hitch hikers and never meet one either...but to pick up one, i would have doubts especially if iam just alone in the car.

Guess mayhap I am made of brass tacks never crossed my mind to be scared. More Tom boy than feminine anyway LOL
Love to meet new people and can talk up a storm if I want too LOL
Where is PI???
Never said I trusted them just not enough common sense I guess to be afraid

I hitch-hiked from Texas to Kentucky when I was 22. A lot of walking, because i did not hold my thumb out. (Hitch-hiking is illegal..lol) I had a great experience, spent a lot of time in contemplation, saw a lot of things that I would have past by had I been driving. I met a lot of nice people and a lot of weird people...had to make hasty retreat out the back window of a truck with my stuff to get away from some overly amorous individuals. Hitting the highway at about 60 mph with a guitar and a backpack is not something i would recommend...lol, but, if i had to do it over again, i probably would. But, only if it was that time again, not today and I don't recommend it to anyone. I have picked up hikers before, but only if i could put them in the back of the truck and they couldn't get to me....have a good day!

Texas to Kentucky That is fair walk LOL WAsn't aware that hitch hiking was illegal there
Just specific states or the ones you went through? Maybe that is why when we travelled through the states we didn't see many of them LOL
Have to agree I have definitley met a number of weird people On the other hand have met some really great friends that way too.
Now I wanna see you scramble through the back window of my pickup LOL (we don't have one)
I too would hesitate to try and do that again these days Just too many sick oohs out there.
Would I have changed what I did I don;t think so Sure made me grow up alot faster than I thought possible
I usually have my hubby with me if we pick them up so feel a bit more secure.
Thanks for responding

nope, never did hitch hiking..its actually different here in the philippines, theres no way someone will take to the closest destination you wanted to go nor having a free ride somewhere..its not a practice here in the philippines, since there are lots of buses and public jeepney's. even if public utility vehicle.s people are afraid to have a stranger ride with them because something bad migth happen to hem and vise versa...

No hitch hikng in the Phillipines huh Guess we are the crazy ones
We were RVing Mexico once and actually picked a young couple to give them a ride Their vehicle was broke down and it was extremely hot out.
We did question them about no pistole and marijanuana etc before offering though. Could not leave them stranded.
Our Spanish was bad and their English was none LOL Fun trying to communicate with them though
