Is love really blind??

I have to ask this question after my recent experience. I broke up with my boyfriend after almost 4 years but we still talk. When we were dating I thought he was the hottest guy on the planet. I thought his best features were his lips and his hair. NOW, I see him and its entirely different story. His hair is almost completely gray and his lips are actually all cracked and dry 99% of the time. His face has gotten very fat and he is starting to look like an old man and he's only 30! Has this happened to anyone else?? After ending a relationship, did you start to realize that he/she is not as attractive as you once though?? What changed?? Why did it change? So I have to ask again, is love really blind??? Please share!

I think that what you are describing is just the process of not loving someone in the same way you used to. I do believe that love is blind and when you love someone in that special way you tend not to see the changes everytime you look at that person.
