I believe it was done for ratings, as the show won the two hour time slot. If 12.93 million viewers keep watching expect more walk outs and telling each other off and disagreeing on this show. It works for American Idol, so now NBC has decided to use their example. This is a higher rating than last year. I can understand why Sharon walked off, as young children shouldn't be crying on the set. I'm hoping this doesn't happen again, but I think its going to happen several times this summer.

Sharon does bring the Paula Abdul effect to the show

It is unfortunate that this happened just when Jerry Springer took over as host. It made America's Got Talent look like an episode of Jerry Springer. Jerry Springer was great at hosting the show, by the way. Sharon just didn't like Piers being so mean to a little girl - a little girl who was so very polite and didn't shed a tear. She was a tough cookie. Sharon probably signed a contract and would not be able to get out of it. But having seen episodes of the Osbournes, I guess I shouldn't be surprised that this happened. I just hope it doesn't happen again. I don't think it will either because Piers, I believe, is one of the producers and won't risk pissing off Sharon Osbourne again. Personally, I don't think Sharon was a good choice to replace Brandy.

At that point , anyone had to replace Brandy because of the accident-trial fiasco , plus she tried the talk show host for a while , so why not give her a shot at that

Osbourne came into a conflict with Piers Morgan when she felt he judged a child contestant too harshly. She threatened to leave the show in the middle of filming, saying "I didn’t sign up for this", but was talked out of it. I don't think that they would fire her right now, especially not with the show just starting and probably no time to find a replacement on such short notice. That would probably upset fans and the show ratings could take a tumble. Plus how does one know that it wasn't all "planned" just so the show could get some ratings?

You can't tell on tv what's real or what is a rating booster , but I don't think they can fire her though
