I was one for a number of years, but am now an Analyst, which is a step or two above. I did enjoy those days, but doing Application Analysis and Integration I find more fun, especially in the spot I am in in which I get to also do some Network Engineering. I've been in the Technology Industry as a profressional since 1990. I don't have the A+ Cert, though I have thought about it. Mostly just didn't need it due to my years and type of experience. Fastest way to be one, or to be a good one? I'm pretty tired right now of people like most of the ones in my Help Desk. Get the A+, read Upgrading and Repairing PCs, and play with things. You have to love technology to be good at it. Also you have to learn to think and to reason. In short, it sounds like you want an instant formula- Thats great for getting in the door. But if thats all you are concerned about, please find another field. I don't want to be the one who has to fire you someday. If I'm mistaken, look for a Help Desk job, and start working from the ground up.
