Out of Body Experience--- is it really possible?

What does it actually mean? Is OBE, is really possible for humans. Some of the vedas,(ancient scriptures) of Indian mythology speaks about OBE.Many saints have done this in the past, which what people say.
My doubts are if it so happened in yester years, why not it is possible now? or it is being practised anywhere in the world?

An OBE is when you spiritual body separates from your physical body without actually dying. It is said that you do this every night when you dream. I have done it a couple of times on purpose though. When you have an OBE on purpose, it is called astral projection. I have managed to astral project few times in my life. It is a wonderful experience and I wish I could do it more often.

What kinda practice does one need to have this experience? Does it need a Guru?

This is very serious business. Not a play thing. OBE is probably possible for everyone, as well as, other psychic abilities. Fear is a great factor. A VERY GREAT FACTOR. I wouldn't play around with it. You may not like what you find. Sometimes, it's better to keep your head in the sand.

yes i have experienced both astral and dreaming as our pal talked about before,fear sure puts off. but i feel its spontaneous and maybe all had it but didnt realise it as OBE.they must have dismissed it as dreaming. i have travelled in unidentified objects like UFO.virtually flying or lifting off and floating are other common occurrence.i have read a lot on tht only after experiencing so i never knew sush a thing existed
