Is rental property a good way to earn income??

We just rented our lake house. We havea lease for a year. It was a job cleaning it out and getting it ready. Is rental property a good way to earn income?? Have you had a good experience with renting??

Yes, it is a great way to earn some monthly or even weekly cash(this is the best)
BUT you have to do a very in-depth check on the people you rent to.
Just one renter who has no regard for other peoples property can cost you some major bucks. And eviction ,if they refuse to pay can take months. This is when they do the damage to the home. So be very careful who you rent to.

Thank you for that very sound advice. We will be very careful who we rent to. We will do a criminal check I think.
