Do you ever feel that you were meant to do something BIG?

Have you ever felt that you were destined to do or be something important one day? Like maybe a gut feeling? Just a sense of KNOWING that SOMETHING is going to happen even if you can't pinpoint exactly what it is?
Even if you are not even following a path that would seem to lead to it, are you still sure that it IS going to happen?

I don't have any feeling of doing something BIG one day, but I do have feelings of having a foreigner boyfriend when I was young. I didn't know why because there was no computer (not really popular) when I was young, and my family didn't have money to send me abroad to study, but I just had a feeling. I had a feeling that I would end up being with someone who is not in my culture and end up living in some places far from my hometown. And that feeling made me study hard in English and able to communicate effectively. It's weird but I guess I am being led onto the path now.

I HAVE met this person *laughs* and we are now in an online/ long-distance relationship, just wish that we would work out right! Nothing is impossible, who know what life can lead to! I wish you extremely good luck on your wishful thinking too!

Wow that is interesting. Especially the fact that having this feeling has caused you to study more in school. Your helping your future materialize and maybe you WILL meet this person during your studies. I dream of a romance with a foreigner and moving abroad - but it's just wishful thinking. ;-)

When I was much younger, I felt this way but I have lost this feeling now. However, I do seem to have the most unusual experiences and luck and I do have this gut feel that will continue on in my life.

Well younger people (children) tend to be more intuitive because they are aware of their surroundings, and their imaginations run free.
I think it's important to always follow your gut feelings because it's coming from something or somewhere outside of yourself. I always try to pay attention to the synchronicities and coincidences in my life so i know what decisions will help me to get to where i need to be.

I also try to follow my gut feeling in life. Talking about synchronicity, have you read c.g Jung work? and what are those stars on some users avatars?

I guess that depends on what your definition of big is. I think birthing and raising my two children is pretty big, even though women have been doing it for thousands of years. For me it is big and that is really all that matters. It's how I feel.
Having said that, I have seen my two daughters, aged 10 and 14, accomplish a lot in their short years on this planet. They are both terrific athletes and participate in a lot of activities, something I never did as a child. It is time I accomplished something I can really be proud of.
I was told by someone that I am a good writer and that I should persue writing. I dream of being a published author. I believe it will happen one day. I believe I am destined to do this. As I say to God every day, "You gave me this gift, this passion, this talent. Help me to use it to become published in order that I may help my family financially as well as help and entertain those who read my work."
They say God has a plan for us all. Sometimes I just have to wonder how we are supposed to know what that plan is because so far I don't feel I have really followed any path in my life. I just ended up here by chance (and some mistakes).

hi.
There is so much truth and sincerity in your response. I have similar visions for myself and i know god will lead the way. Since god is the way. (whatever your definition of god is, this is still comfort). I know i will be who i am meant to be, i just don't know how i am going to get there. I don't know when, how, or even why.
I believe that everyone is here for a good purpose, and that every one of us has the specific interests and talents that we do for a reason. It's to help us achieve greatness. Goodness. and GOD.

I believe we're all destined for greatness. But, our definition of greatness may differ from God's definition.
