Usually. I'm sure there are things they don't tell me, but then again they are teenagers. For the most part, though, they tell me what's going on with their classes, teachers, and other kids in the class, especially if someone got into trouble.

My daughter shares zippo with me. I have to pry anything out of her. So I go for a few days and not ask her-hoping she will offer. When it is time that she needs something, she would be all lovy dovy. Of course being a 16 yr old daughter really says a lot. It used to be something like,"Mommy, that boy pulled my hair." **This is the real life.

i think that's pretty cool. my nephew is in kindergarten, and we couldn't get much info from him when he comes home from school. but we monitor him constantly, we talk to his teachers often, and he's doing very well in school -- i'm proud to say that.

I find that my daughter is quite a bit more gabby than my son is. He will share the highlights of his day where my daughter will share EVERY DETAIL!

Yes. I only have one daughter and she is in kindergarten, so of course at this point in life she is very excited about school. She comes home everyday and tells if she got in trouble, if she played outside, and who got time-outs.

2 of my children are in school, and they don't share anything about what happens at school. Getting any info out of them is like pulling teeth

I wish. I ask what and they say nothing. Of course some probing questions or specific ones gets them going.

We have to pry information out of our son. It takes a while but we eventually get it out of him. Nothing bad, he just doesn't like to go into details.

Yes when my kids come home from school they are full of chatter about their day. I pick my kids up from school and have found I get more from them when they are picked up than if they ride the bus home or like when I worked. I guess by the time I had gotten home from work they were tired of talking about it. LOL
