I know in this day and age most people opt for the email because it is easier and faster i do it myself. I wanted to know is there anyone who still does a fair amount of letter writing the old fashioned way? Do you have a relative friend or penpal that you write to this way on a regular basis? Do you send pics and parcels that type of thing? I havent wrote a letter in a long time everyone away i talk to now have a puter so i just email and messenger lost my personal touch all together i am afraid much easy this way.

I almost never use a pen anymore. Everything is on the computer. I recently sat down to right a letter and found out that my handwriting had gotten horrible. Use it or loose it I guess.

It is a shame that more people don't write letters. It is nice to get something other than bills and junk mail in the mail. You can pull them out at anytime even in places where you can't access electricity, which would come in handy to help past the time during a blackout from a storm. (It's the beginning of the hurricane season here in Florida [USA] so that thought entered my mind.)

Yeah I am still writing letter with this old-fashioned way.I am writing them with my mum.I am living right now far from here and we are talking a lot on the phone, but still are writing a letters, since we love it.I am so happy all the time I come to check the mail and find a letter from my mum or dad.I think it is nicer like writing emails, but yeah emails are more comfortable and cheaper probably too.

I mostly use e-mail.. I do write letter to my brother in Iraq- I think a handwritten letter is much more personal and brings him feelings from home- I also send him e-mails. Much quicker- It's amazing that I can send an e-mail right now to Iraq-- and he gets it right now! How impressive is that? I don't write letters to anyone else- It's all by e-mail or phone- Of course I will leave love notes to my daughter and sig. other alot!

i still do write letters. as always, i do it rarely. it has always been my habit to write letters to people who really matter only. until now, i am observing this habit of mine. but it will not amount to much considering that i do it at once a month for a most often frequency. now, i do it something like once or twice in a year. maybe it will pick up again to once a month if the plans of my daughter to relocate to another country, pushes through.

Hello kitkat. I haven't written a letter for ages. I've grown accustomed to typing on my computer that I don't think I will ever write legibly, LOL! I send emails and chatted with my friends which works well and better for us. We can easily update each other everyday even when we're living thousand of miles apart. We do share pictures from time to time.

I like and really enjoy writing letters. I write to people who don't have a pc as thats the only way I can keep in contact with them, phoning them is too dear. I to also write letters to people I could e mail but i just like to hand write them a letter and send photos of my children to them. I also do send parcels through the post, mainly for birthdays and christmas's.
