What if you and your partner have different religion?

would it both bother you? would it cause a problem or not? For me, it shouldn't be a problem as long as you respect each other's opinion or belief, instead of trying to convert the other into yours.

It's actually easy to say that religion is not a factor in the strength of a relationship. However, we have to face it that there are couples who were breaking up because of religion. You can't say when you are not in the situation yet.

I just believe in love conquers all but when the religion is really interfering accompanied by the parents of the siblings it really does complicate things. i understand their situation of course but that really depends on how the other handles things or how they handle things together. Everything could be possible.

My religion is a big thing for me,i was born with this faith,so i really don't know what to do if this would happen. It's a big matter coz in order to have a happy and to have a good relationship, one must understand and surrender his/her faith.

No it wouldnt bother me and i wouldnt let it cause a problem. And i dont think one should have to convert to the other religion. I think if you decide that on your own then its fine. But otherwise you spouse/partner shouldnt try to talk you into it or anything like that. I have had a lot of this happen in my family and it has caused a lot of problems.

You're right. My husband is a catholic, I am a protestant, but still we have the same God. Anyway God sees our hearts.
