Male Crossdressing

In modern times, it is perfectly acceptable for women to wear men's clothes. Most people don't even notice or care when a girl is dressed in boy's clothing. Why then, is it still considered bad for men to wear women's clothing? How is this any different from a woman dressing like a man? I really wish I knew why this unfair double standard exists. Some men look quite stunning dressed in feminine clothes, so I don't see why it should be considered taboo.

In my eyes ,it's very cool for girl wearing men's clothes,I like that in some extent. But it's rather disgusting for men wearing women's clothing, because the clothes don't fit for men. It's not the question of thougts,so it's wrong to be said unfair ,it's the question of custom!!

Well, some men fit well into women's clothing, so what can be said for them? There are some men who look very good in feminine clothes, so I don't see how that is disgusting...

I can tell you that the double standard exists because its more acceptable for a girl to act rough and tough or macho than it is for a guy to act soft or efeminete. Guys have to impress there friends with how tough they can be or else they are considered a sissy or less than masculine. That is their way of earning the respect of their piers. As a crossdresser I can tell you first hand how tough that can be on a younger adult male. I'm quite older now and dont worry near as much what others think of me but I still keep it to myself for the most part. I do understand why people dont really care for it and why some even totally hate guys that do this but I still wish it wasnt so. Take care, Terry

Thank you for the best response!
I can understand what your friend is going through. I guess in some ways, I'm glad my dad wasnt around for most of my childhood. Maybe if you and your friend are really close he might keep some things at your place. I know this much, I wish I would of had a friend like you when I was younger. As it was, I never really had very many friends. I guess I always felt I had to much to hide to have friends. Thanks again, Terry

I'm glad things are going better for you now that you're older. My best friend is not a very macho guy, and he has to hear about it from his dad, but not our friends (thankfully). Every time I try to get him something that is 'too girly' he's not allowed to wear it.
Even though I prefer boys as friends, I'm happy I don't have to be around many of those guys who think they have to be macho all the time.

I personally don't like either. I don't really like seeing women in men's clothes, unless they are fitted. And I really don't like seeing men in women's clothes. Defintely, not my cup of tea.
