flat tire

June 7, 2007 12:03am CST
a man woke up one morning to find that one of the wheels of his car had a complete flat tire. Despite this, he could still drive 10 miles to town and came back home. He didn't repair of inflate the flat tire. How did he manage to make the journey?

Was it his spare tire that was flat, he could have been loading the boot and noticed?

Since everyone is saying it was the spare I'm going to be different and say he drove another car.

He was able to manage probably because the flat tire was the spare tire. So he could really travel far, around 10 miles and back. Eventually, he should really have to repair the spare tire because it is used for emergency cases. Did I get it right? I'm not so sure....
