Man in the Box and Rooster are my favorites. Layne wrote some incredible harmonies that I just love.

I know this is an older discussion, but being an enormous Alice in Chains fan since Dirt was first released, I couldn't pass this discussion up.
To me, Nutshell is the best Alice in Chains song, both the studio and unplugged versions. Layne's voice is so haunting and you can feel the emotion (well, that does occur in pretty much every Alice in Chains song....).

Probably No Excuses, for me, the song has a sentimental value, but even without that, the lyrics bring about an awesome feeling of emergence.

I would have to say Man In The Box, each band member's role was executed well in the song and Layne's vocals were some of the best I have heard on any song. His voice really fit in well with the song, and the Lyrics are perfect.

My favorite AIC song is Rotten Apple.
They're tour last summer was a lot of fun even though Layne is gone. Just an all around classic good time

Would, the bass line just does it for me. Killer is Me is an interesting little track too.

Head creeps and sludge factory are mine. My partner is quite fond of God Am. Right now, I am listening to the unplugged album.

I personally think , that Man in the box is a great song.
The beat to the song reminds me of certain aspects in my life.
The beat also get's me going , i love the rock theme it has.
