The sounds and smells of a good rain. Don't you love them?

I love the sound of rain. It creates its own music that is good to hear. And yes, it is refreshing. Sometimes, though, the smell of earth soaked slightly by rain gives me headaches.

Yeah, the smell of rain is really awesome, i love it. I feel asthough im in a different world.

all the year long we will be waiting for rain to come so that we can drench in it and enjoy, and to smell the frst rain , the smell of the first is unforgetable, i do love it

I love the sound of rain, nothing can lull you to sleep like that when you're over tired. Not the rain that comes down so hard that you think "OMG, it's going to flood". And yes, the smell is great. Something interesting I heard on a local radio station. That first smell when the rain has just wet the dry earth, is appearantly ozone. All the dust particels gets stirred up into the air, and that can give a lot of people allergy, like hayfever, headaches, etc. But I don't know if there's any truth in it. Rain is a big relief in summers.I just love rain if it is not a heavy rainfall then, i take out my umbrella & go out for a walk.I find so much pleasure in finding that the trees, flowers have just taken bath & are fresh to resume to their work.If i'm at home then i open the windows to let the fresh air come inside.I love the smell of the rain, when it goes into the earth & the smell that comes out is too good.If i'm free then i just stand near the window to see the raindrops falling one by one.

Boy I thought I was an early riser. I was up at 5:00 I'm answering this discussion at 6:45 where I'm at and it 4:45 there in Nebraska. It's so nice to have the quiet early in the morning. What part of Nebraska is Rosalie in. I’m from Scottsbluff myself. Ok back to the rain. I love to listening to the rain It is so soothing and so fresh smelling. It just washes everting so clean. We had a nice Drizzle here South Carolins last Thursday and Friday.

I absolutely love to hear it rain! As you said it is so relaxing. I love to listen to it rain as I am falling aslepp. I don't even mind thunder, as I then feel so safe and cozy in my bed! AFter a good rain, everything looks so clean! There is a lot of coal dust in the area in which I live. After a rain the grass, tree leaves and everything look so pretty and smell so fresh again!

Im sitting here on the computer listening to the rain. Its been raining for two days now and we are flooded in. But those first few drops of rain that drop have the best smell, its lovely.

I do in most places. My parent's house, my grandparent's house, my sister and brother-in-law's house, but not in my apartment. I don't smell the rain there. I'm below the main ground, so all I smell is mud (yeah, I can smell the mud) and battle the gnats that go with it. But I understand what you are saying. I used to love the peaceful pitter patter of the rain. It would lull me to sleep on occasion. : )

After rain,the smell of the air is so fresh,the sky looks so blue and the breeze feels so soft,it give me a very good mood.I like raining and the weather after rain.But if it is raining when I am going to go to work or go home,I will feel unhappy.

yeah...It make me want to have a break and a nap and feel refresh!
