Why does everyone keep getting naked on Jerry Springer?

Ok I must confess that my boyfriend and I like to watch Jerry Springer now and again. I think it makes us feel better about our own lives and it is good for its entertainment value. Since I only watch it every couple of weeks I’m confused by the fact that everyone keeps taking their clothes off! Have I missed something? Is it completely unnecessary or is it the only thing they can think of to keep the audiences interested? I’m sure they didn’t used to do that.. Perhaps we are watching older episodes here in the UK. What do you think of this new trend?

God knows.
I haven't seen jerry for awhile. The last time was when he was in the UK and someone my brother knew was on it. "My girlfriend beats me and makes me feel useless"
Oh well... It's starting to become a way for people to try and have 60 seconds of fame..
