Writers: Do You Write For Suite101?

I've been a member of Suite101 since 1999 and have always loved that site because they were my first "regular writing gig." Back then, we were paid either $15 every two weeks or $25 per month, but I can't remember the article quantity requirements. Anyway, I've stuck with them over the years and am on my third topic. The pay is so low that I wonder why I make the committment, but then again, I'm a loyal person. Anyone else write for them?

I've been writing for them for about a year. I wrote an article on my experience with them here: http://www.nojobformom.com/articles/suite101.shtml The more you write the more you earn. I'm currently averaging between $125 and $150 per month with them. The longer your articles stay on their site the more money you make. It's nice for supplemental income.

I have written for Suite101. They accepted my application as a contributing writer early last year. I had submitted just over a dozen articles when I started getting overwhelmed with some of my other work. Since the other work paid more, I temporarily stopped submitting to Suite101. When I logged back in a few months later, I found that they had rendered my account "inactive" since I had not been submitting articles. I wasn't too disappointed since the pay was so low. However, I think disabling my account without telling me was unprofessional.

i wrote for suite 101 for a couple of years but became quite sick during this past winter and was asked to leave suite 101 because i was not posting often enough (i also work part time outside of the house which i still worked at while i was ill - i work from 9am-1pm every day and there days that i just came home and collapesed.) while i like suite 101 (i wrote on canadian history and coping with a chronic disease) i found their attitude a little over the top for the little you get paid.

I think Suite101 only accepts native English speakers to write for their site. I've been declined membership even though I've been writing online and have been making a decent income online with my online articles at sites like Bukisa, Helium and Triond.
