This question really haunts me. B'coz many times i get spam mails asking to join in some MLM or PTC/ PTR programs, from an unknown person. How do they get our mail ids. Two days back i received one such mail, in which i saw more than 200 mail ids, found in the "copy to" column. How is it possible for them. Usually when participating in discussions i dont openly give my mail id. Even then people were able to gather the mail ids. Are there any search options available through search engine? Kindly tell.

I guess when you started signing up anything on the net. Its computer generated thats why. We all get spams everyday, good thing yahoo mail filters those spam mails. I would delete emails that I received from people that I dont know to avoid viruses. I guess we all cant avoid those spammers.

I have experienced the same thing quite often. I have been wondering how they get to know our email address. I guess that it may be the wetsite that we are using offers our email address to some unknown people to send us trash mails, for sometimes you read words like this: this email has been verified by.... Who knows that exactly is done by whom.

I'm not sure if I'm right about this but as soon as you put your email out there on the internet your an open target for anyone to send you email. I have email addresses that I never use and they get no email at all so that should tell us something.
