Some days I'm lucky to get a shower!

Until I had a child, I didn't know the real meaning of hectic schedule. Looking back on the past ten years, I can see all the wonderful wasted moments; those bits of time that I could have used more productively. Before my baby was born, I would actually have beauty days. Can you believe that? It's true. Entire days devoted to pampering, skin care, exercise and "me" time. And, how about those 30 minute showers? Where have they gone. Now if I can get five minutes alone under running water, I consider myself clean. I can't remember the last time I had a good facial. These days, it's hard to balance my two worlds. Am I alone in this? How do I keep up my everyday Mommy job, but still find time to look and feel beautiful? I want to be a good mom, but it would be nice if I could look good doing it. Any suggestions from other busy moms?

I've only ever had a really basic routine anyway. Never been to a beauty salon or anything like that. There's no reason why you can't look good without all that pampering. I still get chatted up by blokes and I am a full time mum of 2 kids, never had a proper beauty routine! You can keep fit by exercising with your baby, do sit-ups with her on your tummy or use her as dumbells - well, not literally, but you know what I mean! And after she is in bed, you can have half an hour home beauty routine with bought DIY skin care and stuff.

I use to feel like this after I had my first child. I had to wait til my husband got home from work so I could catch a quick shower before dinner. Now I have three children and a really quick routinue for getting out of the house with make up on. I just figured there are some things you have to give up when you are a parent. On a average day I can be out the door with all three kids dressed and me showered with blow dried hair in about thirty minutes.

I can so relate with you beautyqueen, if someone would have told me this would be my life, I would of never ever believed them. Before having my daughter I was all into the latest fashion or going to the spa and getting pampered, going out with my friends BUT now my life is totally different. I rarely even have time now to put my makeup on to me its useless now because im a stay at home mom and nobody sees me LOL. For me to even get a good shower I have to bring her in the bathroom with me so I know shes not gettin into anything. The last time I went to the salon to get my haircut or colored was 4 years ago..I just usually have a friend do it for me because my guy works alot of hours so its just me and my daughter so having my friend do it works out for me. Between the cooking, cleaning, laundry and taking care of my daughter it is hard to find time to myself BUT I always work it out one way or another because if I didnt have me time I would definitely go insane LOL Oh and dont feel guilty about making time for yourself because ALL MOMS NEED "ME" TIME!
