Can people of the "gift of sight"?

I have a girlfriend who knows someone with this gift. She told my girlfriend that I am going to get a job soon (I've been looking every since Feb.) with a certain company. I interviewed with this company today and I think I have a good chance of getting it. The woman didn't know I interviewed with this company; as a matter of fact, the woman doesn't even know me. She picks up my energy from my girlfriend. What I'm concerned about though is going against my religious beliefs. Does the Bible say anything about people having this gift or curse or whatever it is? Does God actually give people this gift? I want to believe her because I want this job, but I don't want to entertain the devil while he makes me think this is real.

I think only special people does have such kind of gift. Sometimes it's one way of testing our faith and belief. They should not abuse while using it in order to get a positive vibes.

Thanks for your response. First, I meant to say can people HAVE the gift of sight. Second, I've been told that people can have the gift of discernment or knowledge. I hope the person who told me I'll be getting a job soon has this gift and is right.
