I've read so many myLot discussions and responded so many times on so many topics that I can't even think of something important to discuss in order to start a new discussion!
So what treatment do you recommend for dead or drained brain? What gets your creative ideas going?

It is quite normal rather natural, youdontsay! So no worries:-)
Human brain is like human body, the difference is just "type" of activity. With body we do physical activity and brain is used for intellectual/processing activity. As bodies get fatigued, like if we use same muscle over and over again continuously, a time will come when it's no more useable out of fatigue. Then is the time to lay it to rest for some time so that it can be refreshed for another round of muscular activity.
Similarly our brains get fatigued. There are mainly two types of brain fatigue; one is caused by continuous decision making and information processing activity and if we are awake for so long, the brain processor gets slower and inefficient and further down in time it is so inefficient that it seem to be working no more. The other type is caused by same intellectual activity, just like muscles example above. In this case brain is still efficient, as a whole, but non responsive and inefficient just in one particular intellectual activity. Like when I am doing engineering research and studying research papers for long time, at one point I feel that I am not understanding anymore, so I change my type of intellectual activity, like reading poetry, history, philosophy or even going out and observing people:-)
So, Just take a break and get some rest, try changing your intellectual activity more often. I believe that you will solve the problem and in the meanwhile you will have a flash of ideas about some interesting new topics:-)

Oh, I like the idea of my brain being "muscle-bound"! LOL
You are right, though. I just need to break up the times I spend on myLot with something else.
Thanks.

You know, I have some problem of sleeplessness for about 3 month now. When I discussed it with doctor, she advised me to get healthy meals and drink a lot of water. She discussed with me in detail the whole cycle including meals, sleep and brain activity and how they are inter related.
She also told me extra information about what I feel and how I perform mentally, which I didn't tell her in first lace and I had to agree wit her that I am experiencing those things. So the conclusion was that human brain IS muscle bound to some extent as it affects our psychology, efficiency and thinking power. That's why we have this famous phrase, " A healthy mind is in a healthy body":-) which though may not be exactly true but it reflects to some extent how general physical health and well being is important for our brain to work properly and efficiently:-)
Best of luck:-)

Lol ..... i think you are not the unique one here there are many people including myself are losing our minds while reading lots of discussions about allot of stuff and responding to them at the same time so its better to write not more then 5 quality discussions in a day and leave the site on its way otherwise we will become crazy soon for few pennies a day.........

Maybe you are just overwhelmed with the discussions my friend.
Then you come to the point wherein, you think every topic was brought up in those discussions you have participated.
I often get ideas while responding, I think its best the we take them done before we forget. Sometimes I get the idea on the way to work. After arriving, and being loggin to mylot every idea flewn.

I think "overwhelmed" is a good description. By the time I've read over all the discussions my friends have started, I think there couldn't possibly be anything left to discuss! :-)
Thanks.

Try mind games first like take the cross-word puzzle, word puzzles games, these can stimulate your brain and can exercise or we can call it stretching. Then after that try looking for the photos that can relate to a discussion you want to share. It will be a perfect come back for your relaxed and excersiced brain cells. God bless you my friend&good luck!

Go to sleep or get laid. lol. Fresh ideas will pop up now and then take a breather. Why the need to make so many7 comments in one day? You will only reduce the quality of comments. I usually post for an hour straight, then go on with my daily life and then before I sleep I post for another hour straight. That makes me like 40 posts per day..
