When I got home from work today, I thought I would watch some news, get the weather forcast, etc. But intstead half the newscast is about Paris Hilton. Who really cares? Why do they really think this is worth half of the news show?

I absolutely agree with you. In fact, I just discovered the other day, what she was in jail for! I don't understand why people are so fixated on
so-called stars.
So my question to star lovers is: If they put your next door neighbor on the copy of People Magazine tomorrow, would you run out to purchase a copy? If not, why the obsession with these so called stars?
I'm not telling people who to like or anything. But, in my opinion, only 15% of well known personalities and news-makers are worthy of the coverage they recieve. They remaining people in the news are of totally un-worthy of the coverage they receive...useless people...
Anyway I agree with you....I further think people should start turning off their tv, if they are sick of hearing about these people, I always do!

I am totally with you on this one! I have no earthly idea why Paris Hilton being in jail is such big news, but unfortunately everyone thinks that it is. I myself could really care less what happens to Paris, I think she needs to do a lot of growing up though.

People these days are so obsessed with celebrity that these sorts of things are always headline news. Lindsay going to rehab, britney going to rehab, paris going to jail... it's celebrity.
I always think it's ridiculous myself but then again I never watch the news for the reason that it's always ridiculous...or grim.
