Why man want to have first kid a boy? All time i hear that fathers want boys

Why is so important for man to have a boy? For name only?My father adore me, and he is so proud with me..he never say that he want a boy!

I guess that men want to see themselves in their sons. As for me, my first born is a girl. I still love her the same even though she is not a boy. A baby is a baby, which is a blessing from God.

I think it is to continue the family name. My father must have been real disappointed. He had all girls!

I think most of the men want to show their prestigious status that there is one to extend their family and also i think they want to fullfill all their unfullfilled whishes thriugh their sons.
