This weather has just gone insane. Its been raining for 3 days straight, not light rain but heavy teaming rain. I am flooded in and cant get outside. The winds are bad too. There are tree and power lines down everywhere. And I just heard that a massive big Cargo Ship has been washed up onto our beach. Dont know the details yet. But pretty scarey stuff. It feels like the end of the world...lol. I was going to go and get my mail but I dont own a boat. its really bad. I havnt seen it like this before.

Wow! That sounds very bad. We had quite a storm last week, & damage was done to peoles verandahs, etc. But nothing like a cargo ship being washed up on shore. You must really be rained in. I guess you must still have your power on, but it may be your turn next!
Do you have a supply of food, in caee you can't get out shopping for a while?

Yes, we have just been shopping luckily...Thanks. The power just came back on, it was out for a few hours. I have never seen it this bad. The Cargo Ship is frightening, they are watching it closley now in the hope that it dosnt break up. There are also 2 others that are in trouble but no news on them yet.

This is weird, but a couple of hours after I read your discussion & responed to it, I saw on our news, that a huge ship, cargo I think, had foundered on the shore of a beach near Newcastle, NSW. They rescued all the sailors I belive. There was a big storm.
It made me think of your discussion.

I agree that it has gone crazy.
The last few days of autumn were quite warm, almost hot.
Then, we have freezing cold days where you want to have the heater on as full as it can be, and have a doona over you as well while you are watching television.

I am in the bush... outside of Mudgee... and it has been raining for 3 days here also... not as bad as what you describe. The worse is today actually. It really is coming down.
I have not seen three consecutive days of rain for a long time here. Almost forgot what it was like. Six months ago... my water tank was empty and we were in a terrible drought.
But we surely need that water. It will be good if it fills our dams and the Sydney reservoir. Just hope it does not last... as I have to do 30 kilometres of dirt track to get out of here.

Calais, I know somewhat how you feel. I live in ND, and we have been getting blasted with pounding rains and horrendous winds for about 2 days now. Last night there was flood watches and tornado warnings all night. Pretty scary stuff, I must admit. Thankfully I don't live near an ocean or a lake, or river for me to be worrying about ships washing up on shore. lol

Yes, tornados are always scary, but thankfully none have touched down close to where I live so far. We are still getting slammed with the winds, but the sun is out and shining today, so hopefully things are on their way to getting back to normal finally.
Hope you are doing well where you are at. :)

Wow, that is a shame, it is beautiful here! Bright sun, 85 degrees. I don't think itis the end of the whole world, maybe just time for a mess in your world.
Hopefully, this too shall pass.

I'm so sorry you are getting flooded. I know just how you feel, we had rain almost every day for 3 weeks. We had the second wettest May on record this year wih a grand total of 21 inches. At one point we had a sinkhole that shut down a road. I was about 10 feet wide and 30 feet deep, when they showed it on the news there was a white mini-van laying in the bottom of it.
I hope it stops soon for you and doesn't do too much damage.
