Well, my parents had 2 cats when I was born. I've never not had at least 2. We had at most 7 cats when I was growing up, all indoor cats. They've always been a big part of my life. Currently I have 5. I've had MaineCoon cats, siamese, and quite a few mixed breeds.
I don't know why exactly I love cats, but the cats I have now are my babies. I can't fathom life without them.

I like a cats because you dont have to take them on a walk. And if you go away just leave them water and dry food and they will be fine. I got my first cat when I was only a teenager. And Ive had only a couple. Right now I have 3. Maggie Molly and Blackie they are all females and they are my little sweeties.

I like cats, although I also dislike them as just like dogs they can be a little nasty.
Generally I think they are a good pet because if the right person looks after them they'll be fine and not dig your garden up.
Kudos,
~Joey

Cats are REALITIVELY low maintainence, if you get a short haired cat (my preference.) You feed them, water them, clean their litter boxes, and love them. Of course, take them to the vet if they need shots or get sick. But you don't have to walk them, let them in & out, etc.
I got my own first cat in 1976 when I moved away from my parents. She was a "black" siamese, her momma had papers & her dad was a traveling salesman. Her name was Sabbeth. She was smart, beautiful and loving.

Not only do cats make good pets, but they are are low maintenance pets! As I'm sure you know, they are independent, free thinking creatures who take care of much of their own needs. Although most domestic cats enjoy companionship with their humans, they can typically be left to their own devices for many hours at a time without issue. Although some cats and cat breeds are more "needy" in this area, overall they are no where as needy as dogs.

Well I hate to admit it but I do love cats also. They don't show the love like dogs do but they are easier to keep. My first cat was a siamese cat named Sheba. She was my daughter's cat. She was tough. One day a bird kept dive bombing her and would not leave her alone. I was watching from inside the house. Suddenly, Sheba leaped into the air and caught the bird. That was the end of the dive bombing and the bird. I currently have 2 cats that belong to my daughter again. There names are Barnes and Noble. They are sisters and they are great. They just turned a year old this month.

Yes, I am a cat lover. I think they are a good pet because they don't require as much of attention as a dog does. (I have two of those.) I had my first cat before I can remember anything. My parents have always had cats around. I guess that helped me become a cat lover. I grew up around them. I think the cat was probably a mix breed...or are they called a mutt like dogs? ha ha ha. But the first cat I can remember its named was Missy. I currently have a siamese tiger mix named Bones.

Cats are independent and capable of motivating things (humans) into doing things for them. They are smart and sometimes mystical. I had a cat in my life while young but it was my mothers cat. We also had all sorts of barn cats, again none of my own. I got a black kitten when my new hubby brought one home to me. We have since had many cats in our life. My latest is Ozzie. He and I were burned in our housefire and we are both on the mend. He is in a bit better shape although he cannot understand why he cannot go our in the city where we are now. I am thankful he is such good shape since I have made it this far caring for him. He is a tuxedo forest cat and his picture is on my profile.

i am not sure where my love of cat came from? My first cat was a large red tabby. We had him from about the age of 6 years to 10 years. HE wassn't very friendly.
When I was 123 years old, my parents gave me a kitten for my birthday. He was so beautiful. I named him Sam. He was very fluffy, nearly all white, with a ginger patch on his head, back & ginger circles on his tail. Sam was affectinate & cuddly.
He really loved my Father. Every day, at exactkly 4.00pm, he would wait for my father to come from work.

Most people who have pets are mysteriously drawn to that certain type. I have always been drawn to cats and wolves. Since it's illegal to own wolves I have cats. I found my first kitten when I was about 5 years old. My parents didn't believe in having pets. I had a little tunnel under the honeysuckle and poison ivy by the fence. I would catch ferral kittens and tame them there. I would sneak food to them so they would come running when i entered the tunnel. I did this for several years before my parents decided to let me have a cat in the hopes I would leave the ferrel kittens alone. There is something so cute about a 4-6 week old kitten hissing and spitting at you. I still played with the ferrel kittens plus I got to have a pet. My first cat was named Scat simply because it was amusing to hear people telling him to scat and see him go up to them because he thought they wanted him to. Cats make better pets for me because if you need to leave for a day or two you can make sure they have plenty of food and water and clean liter and they are good. Dogs on the other hand need let out to potty so you have to get someone to take care of them.
