In the movie they treat prisoners in a very hard way. Do you think murderers and other serious criminals should get the same treatment nowadays?

They still treat prisoners, in countries that consentrate on the punishment and not rehabilitation, in the same way if not worse. If you see movies about Alcatraz you will note that it was common practice in the 30s eg Murder in the first with Kevin Bacon and Christian Slater or Escape from Alcatraz with Clint Eastwood. Movies about prisons are always difficult, Midnight Express in a infamous portrail of Turkish prisons.
More recent portrails of TV series such as Oz and Prison Break give a harder view of American prisons. Movies and shows are always softened for viewers as reality is much harder and we are not talking about countries that still beat and maime their prisoners.
If a person commits a crime they have to understand the consequences of their actions. This movie though, for me, is amazing and tragic because he is innocent, he suffered through all that and he did not commit a crime. Not only that but it is known who did, and due to greed, the proof of his innocence is destroyed and with that someone who was able to change his life, so in a sense 2 lives are destroyed.

rapists and murderers should get worse treatment than in the movie. they should send them to turkish prisons. how can any good treatment be given to men who rape a 9 month old. i guess i would say let them suffer like the victims and their families suffered.
