The rubik's cube is one of those things that are really easy once you learn how to do it. You either have to be really really lucky or be a pure genius to complete it without assistance. It doesn't take brains to learn how to solve it, only determinatoin! Hehe, my record is 21.84 seconds with an average of 35 seconds, and I'm dumb! :P

I've never actually tried to solve this cube. My brother is quite fond of it though. He can solve it in less than 15 minutes. I know it's not the best time, but it's something.

My mother bought me a Rubick's Cube when I was in primary school. One for me and one formy brother. I remember I solved it couple of times but later I got bored of it and I gave it to some other child. I haven't had anything to do with is since then. So I don't know if I would be able to solve it now:P

I have solved rubik's cube many times. In fact, I'm addicted to it. I always have a rubik's cube in my hand. It's good for the brain. It's a good start to solve one side. I'm thinking of buying rubik's revenge and the professional's cube.

I have solved the rubiks cube with the aid of the solution book. This book will give you sequences and if you follow them you can solve the cube. I am positive i couldn't have solved the cube without this booklet. Once you solve the cube you can create sequence shortcuts to cut down your time considerably. Take care CRNbread101.

It is very easy to solve once you know the standard moves to solve the puzzle. Though there are books giving the way to solve the puzzle, why don't you try it yourself with the little help I give.
Solving one side is easy. But make sure that while one surface is of one colour its rim is also not a jumble of colours but four colours on four sides.
Then experiment and see what moves you can make without upsetting what you have done. For instance if you hold the made surface upwards and make a movement like down, right, up, left the top surface will be upset. If you reverse this with right, down, left, up then it will be back in the same way. Why not do this but make a small change before the reverse movement. Then see what happens. This will help you to solve the cube on your own.

Rubix cubes are fun but can be very frusterating I bought one last year for a vacation trip because I thought it would be a fun way to pass the time on a plane ride but I could not solve it I worked on it for like 4 hours lol and it was impossible. The best I did was get 2 rows complete but I just couldnt do any better and my dad tried and he couldnt do it either. My sister has a friend that can do it behind there back and I have no idea how the hell he does he must be some sort of genious or something.

check out some sites that provide algorithms. its really quite easy once you have them memorized. I've clocked myself, the fastest i've been able to solve a rubiks cube was 55 seconds. This was after I knew all the algorithms, but hey, the resources are there for you to use, just use them. Good luck and have fun with it!
