Would you purchase a hybrid car?

Demand for hybrids,which deliver superior mileage by switching between a gasoline engine and electric motor, has soared amid higher fuel prices and greater consumer concern about pollution and global warming.Toyota is the ahead so far,but not all hybrids sell well. Earlier this week,Honda Motor Co. said it'll discontinue the hybrid version of it Accord sedans, which sold poorly. Now for me if it's that great on gas mileage than I am down for it.

i would very much like to get one. but the price is really scary. it costs aprox 250000 rands here. thats ten years worth of my salary. i have heard of the chev volt coming out soon too. if they lower the price, people will buy them.
